Meet Maureen

Owner

Beacon Academy has been a part of my life since my college years, when I first joined the school as a teacher. What began as a job quickly became a passion, and over time I was fortunate enough to grow with the school and eventually become its owner.

Providing children with a safe, loving, and enriching environment has always been at the heart of everything I do. I believe the early years are some of the most important, and I am committed to creating a place where children are encouraged to explore, learn, build confidence, and create lasting friendships. Just as importantly, I want every family to feel welcomed, supported, and confident that their child is receiving exceptional care each day. It is truly a privilege to continue the Beacon Academy tradition and be a part of so many children’s earliest memories.

My connection to Beacon Academy began as a parent. All of my children attended Beacon Academy, and watching them learn, grow, and thrive here showed me just how special this community is. Today, having the opportunity to serve as Assistant Director and Office Manager feels like a full-circle moment.

I am passionate about creating a welcoming experience for every family who walks through our doors. From helping parents through the enrollment process to supporting our teachers and celebrating our students’ milestones, I love being part of each child’s journey. It is incredibly rewarding to give back to the school that gave so much to my own family, and I look forward to welcoming many more families into the Beacon Academy community.

I’m so grateful to have been a part of the Beacon Academy family for nearly 20 years. I began my journey here as a college student and over the years Beacon has become so much more than a workplace. It has truly become a second home. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to watch so many children grow learn and discover the world around them.

My goal is to create a warm, nurturing and encouraging classroom, where every child feels, loved, supported confident, and excited to learn. After nearly two decades at Beacon, I continue to feel grateful for every child who has crossed my path and for the families who have trusted me with such an important part of their lives.
